Testimonials from Teen Classes

Kaitlin really loved the teen cooking classes, and it's amazing how many times she's said to me, "I learned how to do that at cooking class!"  Thank you for doing such a great job with the kids and the classes,

We loved having you.  I learned a lot and got a bunch of great feedback from the group.  You have much to share and such a great personality.

I think one of the best aspects is that you’ve “been there and done that,” which is so reassuring to new moms.  You give moms hope that good meals can be had—even when life is hectic.  Once someone understands your organization approach, it’s easy to take things from there.  You make cooking a lot simpler than I thought it could be.

Director, New Moms program for Boulder Community Hospital

The teaching, coaching and support you provided was outstanding.  You inspired a new focus on using a variety of foods in healthy ways. . . . Your presence also inspired fun and creativity, and has resulted in lasting changes in the ways that caregivers think about cooking and nutrition.  Thank you for helping us learn that providing meals that are delicious and unique is a very reachable goal.  You made it simple!

The ideas you presented were right on.  I get stuck in a rut and can’t think of what to make that would taste good and also be healthy.  So it’s great to learn skills that will help me get inspired to make better meals.

Patty, What’s Snackin’ class participant

* Mary is very energetic and really shows her passion for cooking and organization.  What a great source of information!

* I am a mom of two young children and a diabetic.  Showing alternatives to dull white rice was wonderful.  The Barley Casserole you brought was great and your alternatives to the basic recipe were helpful.

* Very thorough explanations

* I liked the way she expressed her ideas and spoke so clearly and quietly

* She didn’t talk above the group

* I liked her easy manner

* Interactive

This was a great overview of the 6-Step System that was easy to follow.  I especially liked the examples that helped me understand what really needs to happen in my kitchen to make it work.  I became aware of how I could do this innately—so it feels intuitive now.

I want to tell you again how incredibly wonderful it was last night.  Making sushi together was one of the most fun things our team has ever done.  You have such a lovely personality and fit in so well .  Plus you’re such a great teacher—and it is so much fun to take in—breathe in—your enthusiasm about cooking and ideas.  The whole evening was perfect and the food, food preparation and your presence and help was a huge part of that.  Thank you again and again.

Mary Collette Rogers put on an excellent class for our employees. They gained very useful knowledge in kitchen organization and meal planning. Mary gives great suggestions for those common problems we all face in the kitchen due to our busy lifestyles. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and we look forward to future classes with Mary such as “The Chocolate Pathway to Healthy Eating.” Thanks and I look forward to talking to you soon!
